Greetings and Salutations Watchers and Passerby.
... It's been a while hasn't it? I've been rather scarce around here, and I very much realize that. (and appologize for any whom I worried.)
I'll explain that, I promise, but first let me give a breif synopsis of the last two conventions I attended!

COMIC-CON.
As some of you may have noticed, ~
Jayetta and I only had Art-Show tables at Comic-Con, as opposed to Artist Alley tables like we prefer.
Now the upside to Art-Show is that we aren't required to man the tables, (in fact it's discouraged.) the downside is that not nearly as many people see that stuff, and it's ALOT harder to sell one's work.
... in fact, I didn't sell ANYTHING at Comic-Con... which was... rather dissapointing. But we're gonna make a solid effort for Artist Alley tables next year!
BESIDES that... we actually had a WHOLE lotta fun at the convention itself! as we expected, there was tons of free swag to get, and lots of awesome things and people to see.

Jayetta and I actually ended up picking up Naruto Shippoden Plushies (for FREE) since she actually WON both of them, she gets to have Kakashi, and she gave me Naruto. (though we share them of course.) ... contrary to what alot of people might think... I actually kinda like Naruto, the series is entertaining... (though I prefer reading the manga to listening to "BELEIVE IT!") So I'm quite happy with a Naruto plushie, even though I haven't gotten as far as Shippoden. (by a long shot.)
got alot of other swag too, Shonen-Jump bags, note-pads, Sticky notes, Jump ropes, t-shirts... I also got a Carlisle Crest Twilight Ring. :dances: I'm REALLY happy with that! (though I might touch up the paint job. ...
) I also got a Scooby-Doo collar. (which I actually wear... XD I think it's fun!) and other miscellanious stuff.
We saw alot of anime, and got to hang out with some cool people, so it was very fun, and quite the learning experience.
We did take a loss though with the convention itself, ... which is a pity. Ah well... better luck next year!

Anime Festival Orlando (AFO)

Jayetta and I had one Artist Alley table between the two of us for this convention. (partially due to some communication issues, and partially due to fund issues.) but we had an EXCELLENT spot! So it was great!
The plane ride was rather tiring, (being a 5 hour trip all together, not including Layover and time differences.) but thanks to my great friend "Kitsune13" (from Fanfiction.net) we were able to get excellent rates on a close-by hotel... and it was a COMFORTABLE hotel too!
Florida was beautiful! Everything was so GREEN!! ... and there was plant-life and lakes everywhere! didn't see too many bugs and never spotted any snakes or gaters, but we were in the middle of Orlando... so maybe that's not as much of a hot-spot. XD ... it was a whole heckuva lot muggier than I've ever experienced before... I'm much more used to hot and DRY ... not hot and "steam room".
Anyways, as to the convention itself... I had an absolute blast! That was one of the most relaxing conventions I've ever done! ... mighta had something to do with the fact I kept taking off to attend panels and get signatures from Voice Actors. (of which they had an awesome selection.
) ... there wasn't much demand for commissions at this convention, which is why I had the free time... again... it's the furries who always seem to ask where-ever I go.
I enjoyed it anyways. we saw alot of cosplay in Orlando... while it wasn't the most populated con I've attended, (by far) ... the shere percentage of people cosplaying was ASTOUNDING!! More than half of the people there were in costume by my estimate. and there were alot of them in REALLY REALLY GOOD costumes too! Saw alot of characters I've never seen at cons before too. (like the Disney princesses and Jessica Rabbit.) and I missed a few I'm used to seeing alot of (like Zack Fair, and Cloud Strife)
Hanging out with Kitsune was NEVER boring! that made it ten times more fun! ... She had some great Tifa Lockhart Costumes she was working on. (finishing up for Dragon-Con she says.) Looked good so far to me! ^_^ ... but more than that, she's gonna try to go to Anime Expo next year if possible... so I'm gonna try to make a cosplay of my own by that time. >
... we'll see if I can pull it off.

we did decently well at this convention... especially for a first-year attendance. but we didn't quite pay for our Plane-Ticket costs. (not that we expected to yet.) ... either way, I'm VERY happy we went! I needed that... alot... it was strangely stress-relieving, in a way the last several conventions haven't been.
Oddly enough, I'm less stressed, EVEN THOUGH the airports lost and broke several of our things. (copic Markers, the button maker, copic marker cases... display items.) We're claiming for damages of course, but despite all that I feel better.
We DEFINITELY want to go back again next year! So those of you who saw us there, and are saying "hi" we're doing what we can to come visit again! ^_^

Yeah, this is already a long journal,... I know.
... but bear with me.
GENERAL UPDATE:
now for my usual watchers, I'm sure you've been wondering what the heck happened to me right?
well... at first... it was just the back-to-back conventions.
First Califur, then a bare week before Anime Expo... that took out alot of my time, and wore me out. ...
Then after Anime expo I was supposed to have two weeks free... but I ended up getting TERRIBLY SICK. ... I caught three or four different bugs all at the same time, stomache flu-ish thing, a sinus infection, a nasty cold and I was completely exhausted and unmotivated all the time. there was maybe one or two things I could get up the energy to do and that was it. Unfortunately art wasn't really one of them, neither was I up to chatting much.
that took out all but a half a week or so of my 'break' ... and then I was off to Comic-Con... I didn't have much of any internet access then.
After Comic-Con, I had THREE DAYS to do any last-minute preparations for Anime Festival Orlando and then I was off to FLORIDA. (from Southern California.) ... No time to write or comment then either.
...
So basically I've been completely out-of-it for the last two months or so, either prepping for conventions, or getting sick, or both.
I finally got back from AFO... and I recovered from all the Jet-lag and time difference stuff, caught up on sleep, somehow seemed to avoid catching any other weird bugs, ... and now I'm FINALLY feeling like myself again! So I'm gonna get all those pictures formatted and start uploading again, I might just do a daily update for a little while just to catch up... XD ... but expect to see some ARTS from me!!! (about time right?)
Once again... I'm sorry if I worried anyone, I'm not angry at anyone, no one drove me off, I'm not sick anymore, and I'm not ignoring anyone on purpose... It's all me. Promise.
Anyways, thanks for putting up with me you guys! ^_^ I really appreciate it!
.... OH!!! ... and I had my BIRTHDAY!!
(for any of you who actually read this far.) ... I'm now 24... my birthday fell right in the middle of Comic-Con... so haven't done much for it yet.
