Greetings and Salutations Watchers and Passerby!
Over Easter Weekend,

amascusmage, and I drove out to Arizona to attend the Anizona convention. My older brother ~
amascusmage was the self-dubbed "Convention Mom" of the trip, he did the driving, goffering, and chauffering, and since we were staying at an "Extended Stay" hotel, it had a kitchen, so he cooked our meals, (which was really nice. ^_^ ... even if he cooked more than we could eat. >.> )

Jayetta and I shared a table for most of the convention. but with our new setup it actually worked out pretty well. ^_^ My booth was more popular than I'd anticipated (more people than I can count stalked by multiple times to buy things.) I had alot of fun, and it was very interesting. As far as I can tell ~
Jayetta and I broke even for the trips expenses, for CERTAIN we made enough to fund the next one! XD which is awesome!
The convention supposedly had about a 1,000 attendees total, ... and while that's smaller than SOME conventions we've been to, it wasn't the smallest, and it was still alot of fun. I'm very glad we went!
While we were there we met some friends and made some new ones, most notably, we got to hang out with

DragnixianFireheart, meeting her was one of the main reasons ~
Jayetta and I opted to attend the convention over Easter Weekend.

StuckOnSandAndBugs ... A.K.A. "Reno" ... Because she actually answers to that. (which is hillarious in my oppinion.) and her friends, ... Reno delightfully displayed the first fangirl-spazz I've ever seen directed at me or my work. XD (I've seen some squeals, and lots of drooling, but this was the first spazz-attack.) For that alone, she gets the honorary title of my "Anizona fan-stalker". ... I seem to get at least one of those at most conventions.
but that's fine by me, It keeps things from getting boring.
So all in all, I very much enjoyed Anizona, I have a handful of commissions pieces and a couple of "spare-time boredom" pieces I'll be uploading the next few weeks, as well as the display sets for mine and ~
Jayetta's new "Test-run" convention sets (which did QUITE well.). So I have plenty of work in the upload-que, shouldn't be slow.
I'd love to go back to Anizona, but we heard a rumor that the convention itself is going on Hiatus,... due to a large outflux of staff (half or so are moving outta state?) and not enough volunteers. I don't have the official news, but suffice it to say I'll be waiting for it, because I liked what I saw. ^_^
On another note, I'm pleased to say that ~
Jayetta and I will probably be making a greater effort to attend "Saboten-Con". Arizona conventions are certainly doable.

On a slightly different note,
for those of you who've been tracking my Fanfiction on FF.net, I figured a slight explaination was in order for my (temporary) Hiatus.
... I blame Yoh.
... and I know that makes no sense, so allow me to explain.
My "Writing Muse" is being a spoil-sport. I KNOW exactly how I want the next chapter to go, what's supposed to happen and how. All the details are laid out and ready...
but I just can't write.
Unfortunately with me, my creativity goes through stages. Back around Christmas I was in a huge Painting Binge. I was coloring pictures like a thing possessed. But after a while I tired myself out on it. And then I went Crazy with my fanfiction "Once More, With Feeling" ... well... I guess I tired myself out on that too, so I've switched back to painting.
In my frustration over my lack of ability to write the fanfiction I wanted to post, I designed a character to represent my "writing creativity" or "Muse" or whatever you want to call him. And thus "Yoh" was born. When I asked for name suggestions, that's the one that stuck. He's a whiney, bi-polar, little brat. And he doesn't get along with my Art-Muse, (whom I'm still in the process of designing)
So... I blame Yoh.
It's all his fault.

Mine are fairly generic, and cover a wider set of inspirations. My Art-Muse includes drawing, painting, sketching, inking... whatever.

Even if my muses were more generic, I'd have quite a few: art, singing, playing instruments, writing, reading (yes I have a reading muse), crafts...etc.
It's called Animethon. Happens in Edmonton in july or august. I found out about it last summer but was unable to go.
And I would have a lot of questions to ask. Beware, I might suddenly spring them on you at any time.

Lol. I don't think I've really met any fanfiction Authors IRL, but I have met some Webcomic Artists.
Hehehehehe, well... in all truth, it doesn't surprise ME much, almost all the people I befriend seem to be in their teens. average age 14-16.
It doesn't seem to matter how much OLDER I get, all the new friends I make are around that range.
I wonder if that says something about me??
